Watched Warlord with Bro. Thought-provoking. It's beyond just a war movie filled with swords, spears, canons, archers and heroes who will survive despite pierce-through wound in the chest.
Was reminded of being single-minded about one's vision. Some descriptions of my takeaway from the show:
- FOCUS
- Humanity
- Unwavering values
- Being shrewed (often used in the negative way, but American Heritage Dictionary's definition is "Characterised by keen awareness, sharp intelligence and often a sense of the practical; penetrating"
- Observing Discipline
The bible says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
What this means would be that I need to reach out for Christ's strength and not my own;
What this means would be that UNLESS these things are of God, it'll amount to nothing;
What this means would be that UNLESS I believe I am empowered to accomplish all that Christ has for me, I can go nowhere even if He strengthens me.
